Kristen Hale started playing piano when she was eight years old. Her first teacher comments on how Kristen played her very first recital:

"She played the same song as another student who had been taking for 2 years. She was a natural”.

Kristen didn't really start appreciating piano until she was 14 years old. The summer she turned 15, she taught herself Jon Schmidt's "Waterfall", then "All of Me", and so forth. She had to quit piano lessons at age 16 to have time to accompany the two Highschool Musicals she was hired for as well as her Highschool choir. At the same time, a teacher, Kristen had 6 students and held her own recitals twice a year. After graduation, Kristen attended Utah State as a Piano Performance Major. She learned and memorized the Chopin Ballade no. 3 for her first jury as a freshman. Kristen also applied to the Berklee College of Music in Boston MA playing Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 30 op. 109 and was accepted with a $6,000 composition scholarship to the school. She declined her acceptance at the expense of tuition. Kristen married her husband, Jeff, in February 2013 and decided to audition for the Piano Performance department at the University of Utah and was accepted to the school. There she finished her Bachelor's degree in May 2016. Her Senior Recital comprised of pieces by Ravel, Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, and Lizst. Now, saved, she is a passionate Believer in Christ and enjoys worship at her church at Restoration Ministries in Visalia, CA. She is now a Piano Teacher and worshiper of Jesus Christ.
